Roll This On. Because You're Worth It...

Finding the right anti-perspirant is like a quest finding the holy grail of all beauty products. While you can look amazing with the spotless skin and the well-coiffured mane, once the underarm is not feeling as good as the other whole body, the overall look will flop. Flop as you stomped the poppy flowers. Why? Wet underarms is never an acceptable trait. Not just it'll make you look hideous with the wet patch under the arms, the odor is...eeww.. to much to bear too. Especially when you've gotta take the public transport where raising up your arm to hold that bar is a 'must'!

I've been looking for a good, functioning anti-perspirant. My thing is simple. First, I don't wanna use the spray one, coz anything with aerosol is bad. So, it has to be doedorant stick or roll-on all the way. Second. it has to be 'anti-white' - meaning no white marks exist once I slap it on. Third, it has to be cheap (or affordable, at least).

So, all these while I've been trying some of the good a.p out there in the market. I've used the Carolina Herrera Chic deodorant stick before - very nice smell, but my underarm return to be wet once the day passed by. Then it was Clinique for Men d.o stick - nice, non-wetting, quite affordable and last half a year with one. But, it's not a white-marks friendly since it's a dry one and leave stains. The last one that I've tried is the Calvin Klein Man d.o stick. Again, nice smell... but similar to Chic.. underarm doesn't remain dry.

But alas! I've found the right one. It's L'oreal Menexpert Invisible Protect anti-perspirant roll-on.

My verdict? So far so good. It does what it says on the labels - protect. Does my underarm stay dry? Check. 48-non stop protection? Too good to be true, but check too. Anti-white marks? Check that too. Afforadable? Absolutely. I couldn't be happier. It has a slight fragrance, but it'll go away once you wear it. And it has an XXL roll-on - so massive that with minimum stroke, you'll 'cover' your underarm! Easy.

So. The holy grail of beauty product: found! And I'm worth it! =)

Bank Holiday Shopping

I have broken my promise. The promise that I won't do any shopping till the end of June when Summer Sale really kicks off. The promise that I won't spend my money till I really have all the right resources and find great bargains in stores. The promise that I won't visit any high-end label stores too, afraid that I couldn't resist the temptation and leave something home with me. But what can you do for a someone who is the weapon of massive consumption?

So, I've broken my promise. I have the 'resources'. I saw the right bargain in store. Not just any store, but the high-end labels. It's three strikes.

Then I left home with three great bargains.

Bank holiday shopping: never say never. =)

zaBigFatBlog Thru iPad...

Aha! Finally I got to test run the much anticipated gadget of all time - the iPad. Though I have to wait and 'ditch' my other fellow 'test-runners' at Apple Store in Regent Street, the tablet is finally in my hands. My early verdict on the product?

Love it. I thought it will be too heavy to hold, but it's not. And I also thought it's gonna be massive, but it's not either. Just nice to hold and get a grip on this beauty. The screen resolution? Voila... it's amazing. Very vivid and great to watch. Speed? Snappy, snappy, snappy. If you're used to iPhone and iPod Touch, then you have no problem going thru iPad. Scroll here and there, type this and that, pinch to zoom in, pinch to zoom out - everything is so swift.

And what better to test on your own blog right? So, zaBigFatBlog looks cool in iPad too! I can read it either way, vertical or horizontal. Just like using the 'Touch, but much more fun. And...ehem.. as usual, flash won't work on any of these gadgets btw. But that doesn't hindered hundreds of thousands of people already own iPad anyway.

So, the question: to get or not to get? Probably yes. Coz I might need it to put in my kitchen back home. Hang it on the kitchen wall, that is. Hey, come on... I wanna surf while cooking, okay.. =)

Etc... Etc... Z.A for Rado?

Something from the archive. Some old photos taken years ago. I can't believe that I've been doing silly things when I'm bored. That include this pix which I snapped using Sony TJ37 PDA. Very raw. Very pure. But I love the composition. Looks a bit like sepia. Quite melancholic and nostalgic.

And I love my Rado.
