Summer Sale: The End

Summer Sale is over! (To me at least) Some stores has finally drawn their curtain, while some has some 'remains' to finish up all stock (eventhough none to my liking coz never in my size anyway). So, what's my findings to the summer sale this time?

  • Shoe galore! Absolutely. Without a frickin' doubt. From the net to the designer store to Harrods, it's all superb (shame on Selfridges).
  • Bad taste in shirts this time. Maybe because of summer fabrics (?). I can't match my more than 15 shirts findings of in previous Winter Sale. Same goes to trousers. If there's good one, never in my size. What's the matter with these stores? Do you really hate normal sizes that much??
  • Jackets galore too. From Zara, Topman and River Island, to Burton and Benetton. All great. Wish I could have more space to store in my wardrobe. Nggg...
  • Accessories. Voila...qudos. Selfridges excels in this department. Others like Mulberry, Boss, Gucci also superb!

So, how did I conclude?

13 shoes, (about) 11 shirts, some cardis, blazers, a number of trousers, countless accessories, a couple of discounted books and one leather bag (just one??), there's nothing more I can say. Saving well made, money well spent (eventhough I could've spent even more..LOL). Time to close book for summer sale, and open a new book for ... tadaaa!! Fall/Winter 2009.

Yet there's only one question: Why people has issue of me buying a £200 shoes?? ;)

zaBigQuickieSaturday: Mustard All The Way...

It's the Saturday shopping journey again. Alas I got my hands on those color of next season ~ mustard yellow. Upon my quick scouring what's hot and what's not in highstreet stores, I just can't get enough of those color. It's so tempting. So, what did I find?

H&M really gone all out with the color. From shirt to cardi, long-sleeved tee to V-neck jumper. All delish, all hot. As hot as the mustard itself! I love the shirt with contrast black buttons and the V-neck jumper (though cotton jumper is not my thing). The fit, the color is amazing and compliment my skin tones too. :) And the cardi...oooh la la! I can say nothing bad about it. The design is actually the same as the one that they did for early spring (in pink and grey). And this one is just right. I am infatuated with the ala art-deco design of it. Snatch!!

Uniqlo also did the similar mustard in some of their key pieces like hoodies and jumpers. I like the hoodies - the fabric, the fit is all great. Maybe next time I'll snap one when they reduce the price (which is not that long to wait, I suppose). Pair it with black jeans or crops, voila - hotness sprouts!

Hmm... what else? Oh, H&M also did some patent hi-top trainers like the one by Alejandro Ingelmo, in blue and other color (purple, I think). So as Zara. It seems everyone are into hi-top sneakers these time of the year. Zara has also stocked some new dinner jacket. Damn... I wish I'll get one. It looks amazing with the lush fabric silk-lookalike and contrast lapels. And it got one button too! Scream!! And those mocs shoe that I'm lusting before... It's still in my list. But mustard, hmm... no where to be seen (yet).

I'm really having a quick Saturday outing coz in my head I'm computing numbers to finish my ever-due report. My journey ended with me getting my quick grab of those Sub-of-the-day at where else - Subway. And no, I didn't ask for mustard fyi. :D

Half sleeve Maori tattoo

Hi,

This summertime is a really busy time of the year for me. Lots of custom tattoo designs and sketches and also going on a holiday with my family.

At the moment I'm designing a large shoulder tattoo for a Dutch customer. It's in a Maori / Kirituhi tattoo style.

The first sketch was a bit off, It didn't exactly match the expectations of the customer.
Here's a small sketch of it:

custom maori tattoo designsIf you are interested in this sketch, just let me know and maybe I can finish it for you, so it's a unique piece.

The second sketch was almost exactly what it should be according to my client, so I only had to make minor changes to the tatoo design.

Below you see two photos of the design in progress and a few snapshots of me having traced half the design with a black marker.
