Gong Xi, Gong Xi.... and Going (RED)

Welcome to Year of the Tiger! To all my Chinese friends, I would like to wish them Xin Nian Kuai Le (Happy New Year). Gong Xi Fa Chai... hope that we have all the good luck in this new year. :)

Being raised in a multiracial community for a long time, I have a huge appreciation on other people's culture. Though we are all with different religions, different races (well, I'm an MIT; that's Malay, Indian, Thai-mixed, btw. Blame my sister if it's wrong. Lol!), and different languages, that doesn't stop me from celebrating the festive seasons. Well, not really celebrating, instead people let us feel 'celebrated'. From the oranges to the mooncakes (or we call it kuih bakul) which were never missed being given by friends during CNY. I always love those, though I really appreciate if they give me ang pow instead. Lol!

Anyway. I also remember that everytime Chinese New Year comes, my neighbors always hang those red banner on the doorfront. For ong or good luck, they say. I love red, coz red is fierce. Red is sexy. Red is strong. Red shows bravery. Wearing red never fails to attract attention. And bring luck? Well, maybe. I'm not gonna be superstitious, okay.

Mentioning red, I love that Product (RED) come up with new range of ...errr.. products. Like the previously launch at Covent Garden by Cat Deeley, the
Flowe(RED). A flower gift service with a difference. The flower power that help those people fight AIDS in Africa. They're many types of flowers like roses, orchids, and some other which I dunno what it is (I'm a flower blind okay, ehehe). And oh, don't worry, all the flowers are ethically sourced.

Another product is for the music lovers. For those who remember that I used to write something about Heartbeat by Lady Gaga earphones, well, the 'man' behind the brand - Monster and Dr Dre - has released the Beats by Dr Dre for Product (RED). They're launched during the CES 2010 in Las Vegas last January by Lady Gaga.

Is it any good? I bet, coz Dr Dre know his stuff anyway ~ music, and anything to do with it. What I like about this headphone is the fact that it can be tri-folded, making it very mobile indeed. The color red, may be bit a killer to some blokes, but buying one allow you to do your part on the charity too. So why not. Keep it at home instead. Or wear it during Chinese New Year. Ahaks!
