Suede Broque @ New Look

I have discovered a hard truth last week. Something that I never think that I'm not up to it. Or up for it, whichever one goes. I was trying out one of the classic brogues at Church when suddenly I felt that the shoes is never meant to be worn by me. I can even say it here - I hate it. I'm not a 'classic brogues' person. It should never be in my blood. I hate how clunky it is, with massive oversize sole under its body. I hate how 'blunt' the toecap is, though the brogue pattern is something that I've been craving for so long. So long that I always talk about brogues shoes on and on and on again.

But it's the truth. I can never wear a classic brogue lace-ups. So, to Grenson, or Loake, or Church... I know you got superb brogues. Brogues that has been quintessential British craftsmanship for ages. But I have to say sorry... they can't be mine. Never.

So, on my way back... I stopped by at New Look. And picked up their new magazine in store. Flip, flip, flip... my eyes stopped at one particular item.

It's a suede brogue! And it's not even 'blunt'! And the price... aha! Perfecto!

So, I went up to menswear section to find it. It looks awesome. Fit, material - perfect. I know it's a highstreet label. Some people even say it's a sin to wear highstreet shoes. A fashion crime. But with these beauties... who can say no to?!

To buy or not to buy? The answer is, not now. I better wait till 11th June when I can use that '20% off voucher' in that magazine. Then I can just pay it at only £24! Who don't like bargains, right?

So. I may not be a 'classic brogues' person - but a 'mod brogues'? I definitely am! =)
