Versace for H&M Menswear: The Complete List

Alas, the (almost) complete look by the next H&M-designer collaboration of the year - the Versace for H&M collection - has finally being unveiled. Modeled by the model-du-jour, River Viiperi wearing most of the pieces, the collection is a reminiscence of some iconic look seen on the catwalk by the Italian edgy fashion powerhouse dated from the heydays up to the recent Spring/Summer 2011. The signature Versace Greek geometric designs dominated the prints and embellishments, while the pumped up color like pink and bright blue, together with a hint of animal prints and floral motifs are also synonymous to what Donatella and Gianni Versace's midas touches are famous for.

What is my verdict after skimming through the pixs? A mixed bag. For those out there who'd like to own a piece of Versace yet are not brave enough to be wild and crazy, the black collection such as the tux blazer and the skinny flat-front trousers are the safe bet. Or perhaps, the one with golden studded items can also be considered safe compared to the rest.

But for those who're absolute Versace craze, own them all! This is the one and only chance you can have them, coz you'll never gonna get any Versace at highstreet prices... ever!! Drop by at H&M stores worldwide from Nov 19 to snatch 'em while you can... (or issit Nov 17? Hmmm...)

Zara 'Young' September 2011 Lookbook

The autumn mood kicks in. Zara September 2011 lookbook for their 'Young' range features some new staples for the fall season such as the cardigan in shawl collar, the quilted and padded bodywarmers, and some Nordic-insipred knitwear. The footwear is quite a looker too like the hi-top lace-up dress shoes, the loafers with jagged sawteethed soles, the lace-up ankle boots in delish brown and the mountain suede chukka which becoming the current seasonal trend. This September 2011 lookbook doesn't show much Pantone colors of the season apart from the nougat brown (or light camel) seen on the duffel coat.

Must-have from the lookbook: the shoes on pix #1 and #3. Delish...

Zara 'Young' August 2011 Lookbook

After gracing the ad campaign for H&M Fall/Winter 2011, Alex Dunstan has returned to the front of the lens once again but for another fast fashion house, Zara for its 'Young' August 2011 collection. It's all about the very casual ensembles, from the hooded sweatshirts to knitwear, the clothes breathes somewhat more street vibes to it. The key items for the FW11 trend include the injection of the seasonal Pantone colors like deep teal green seen on the baseball jacket, honeysuckle pink on the sweatshirt, nougat beige of the chunky knit jumper and somewhat cadet blue-grey of the Fairisle sweater.

Also making a trend is the patterned pants which is previously seen on Commes des Garcon and Alexis Mabille, as well as the comeback hit for the coming season - the asymmetric biker jacket. One interesting piece is the duffel coat-inspired hooded sweat, which bring a fresh take on the typical plain zippered front. My personal favorite is the wool V neck jumper, that look quite chic which I think can equally rock casual and formal attire.
