Puma McQueen Ribcage: Got It. But....

One trainers that have my name scripted to own it is this Puma Ribcage by Alexander McQueen. Part of the Puma Black Label (why everyone is doing black label these days??) for Summer '09, this one got me wanting it ever since it hit the stores early this year. And when I finally found out about the discount of almost £100 at John Anthony store, I just snapped it fast before it's too late.

What I like about it? No.1: it's Alex McQueen. Period. The Brit fashion designer who is known for his eccentricity chic in his couture collection (just take a look at his FW'09 Paris show). Getting this trainer is like killing two birds with one stone (although I don't like killing animals, LOL!).You got Mcqueen and you got Puma. :)

No. 2: The design is just different from other trainers out there.Talking about the design, the one that's making a statement is definitely the interwoven leather forming the outer shell of the trainers in a shape of a ribcage (hence the name). It has a pointy front profile, partly mesh upper making it breathable as well as synthetic sole with a silhouette of a footprint. The fit is so uber comfy and light, and I do feel like I'm not wearing any footwear when slipping this one in. To prove that you are wearing a McQueen shoe, the name got stamped at the lower-side, on the tongue and the inner leather sole.

I love this one so much. BUT... I have to return it coz there's one MASSIVE issue. Upon checking the ribcage, I found that the inner lining is made of pigskin leather. So, it's a massive NO, NO, NO!! What a pity... :(

I love the pointy profile of the trainers
