It's been ages that I've been walking along Tottenham Court Road but never got time to enter most of the home decor stores there. Perhaps I don't really care coz some of the are just specialty stores like sofa, bed as well as ... ehem sofa bed. The only stores that I usually go in are Habitat and Heals coz they are predominantly near Cafe Nero that I always hang out.
Today when I took a different turn to college I stumbled upon the free catalog at Bo Concept. I think I've seen some of their ads in the Goodge St tube station before (in the elevator to be precise) but never seem to care. So when I flip some of the catalog pages, my attention really grabbed on how urban their designs are. Just wow! Very much my taste. Very monochrome, simple, chic, minimum but not minimalistic. All streamlines with some key pieces that's really stood out.
While there is no way that I'm getting any of the furniture, I think I might give it a go with some of their home accessories like...- the pile rugs in round and horizontal which are made of wool. They look stunning (and heavy). I just love the designs from the flower-like design to interlinking ovals, the 60s retro swirl to hexagonal features. Also the 'Statements' rug which got this fun and funky feel.
- the porcelain cups in fun prints. Love the one with the cityscape design.
- and last but not least the gorgeous fruitbowl in black metal. That's gonna be a great statement piece on the dining table. (eventhough sharp edges = 'accident' prone!)
The only downside: they're quite pricey! Well, I think I'll just buy one coffee cup, please... :D
