Bill Amberg's Tweed Selvage

Oops, Bill Amberg has did it again! Last season they came up with the canvas for their infamous Selvage range - the "Tug" tote to "Lugger" bag in white, royal blue and red. And for next fall/winter they keep the on-trend going with the fabric of the season - tweed. I don't know why suddenly I got a hot for tweed. Probably because the material is such a quintessential British, and British product is always great for its craftmanship. And probably because tweed is now a high fashion stuff and everyone seems to be digging it. And maybe because they are not like felt or typical wool that made them very hardwearing (?).

Anyway, what can I expect from their BA's new Selvage? They're still the similar designs - tote, luggage and drawstring ferry bag. But the color combo is the one that is different and I think quite easy to the eye. Grey herringbone tweed with tan leather trims. Very practical, very durable. Water resistant? I think so. And since they're all 'Made In Scotland' stuff, expect the Highlands' craftmanship to be upped for practice here (fyi, they're known for their amazing piece of works). Price? From £150.

What's next? Tartan or denim perhaps??
