Casting Away Monday Blues at Zara

Alas, Monday arrives. For some people Monday would be the day that we wanna avoid. Monday blues, manic Monday..whatever you wanna call it. But somehow to me today is not what it all seems. I got my energy back (mwahahaha!), the Victoria line in service again, and the best of all the sun is shining bright. What a great start of the week (I pray it went great all week, though)

So, what's happening?

After a quick 'return & exchange' session at Uniqlo where I swapped my mustard V-neck merino jumper to the green one, I went on to some 'therapy' at Zara. Well, kinda 'revenge' of what I couldn't do during the weekend. Try to invade their fitting room with new stuffs in store. And what's hot this time?

This black hoodie which I thought.."whoa!". Love the zips here and there, kinda J. Lindeberg leather jacket that I wrote a couple of blogs ago. The fit is amazing, and the hood is wicked. I love the metal zips given a chrome-like finish which make it looks very edgy. Well, only two pocket at the bottom is functioning coz the other two on the chest is a mock. The fabric? It's the typical jersey sweat shirt kinda thing, but I think after a couple of wash it's definitely gonna fade. Next...

Next are the merino wool cardigans. Not your typical buttoned cardi, but zippered one like Opening Ceremony did for Uniqlo in their previous Designer Invitation Project. But this one is way much better coz you don't really see the hem of the zip. Love the fit, love the texture. They come in five colors - black, navy, light grey, urban grey and dark brown. The edgy design says it all.

The other thing I tried - voila, the denim blazer that's I've been talking about a couple of times before. Man, I really love the material and the urban twist to this dinner jacket. Too bad the lapels behind the neck doesn't fit me nicely. Otherwise this will go home with me. But the material. One word - very HOT! (literally, not temperature-wise, lol!)

Last piece that I snatched to try - the military-inspired jersey jacket. Those designers at Zara are really creative to put a nice twist to the typical sports jacket. Eventhough the military fittings felt kinda cheap, but kudos for taking a chance especially when all the military jackets out there are mainly made of heavy cotton. Btw, I love the fit coz it flatters and hugs the body pretty amazing. Wear this you'll definitely stand out in the crowd. Life's too short for you to blend in, right? (Hmm...where have I heard that phrase. Oh, it's Paris Hilton's. Lol!!)

And oh, for the bargainoholic out there, GAP is offering a 30% off their denims starting tomorrow until Sunday. So if you wanna upgrade your jeans for autumn, this is the right time!
