zaBigSkinnyWeekend: Hibernation and You Can Take Me Outta Shopping Mall...

What can I say about my weekend? One word. Hybernation. It's kinda weekend that is very unusual for me as I'm not hitting the highstreet. No.1. I'm feeling too kanckered after the previous week working all the way in the days, then scouring the highstreet after hours for the Highstreet Fashion Week, National Glamour Week and the much talk about Vogue's Fashion Night Out. Not really buying stuff, but more into window shopping and checking out what's happenning around. No. 2. Coz I'm digging myself in the piles of journal papers since I've to finish up my conference stuff. Sigh... I'm truly missing the highstreet to the max!

But anyway. What I am truly missing? Ugghh... the YSL Manifesto that they're giving out last Saturday. How am I not knowing this??? Usually I'm the first person to know whenever freebies is gonna be given to public. From the Londonpaper's free tote bag that I managed to get 5 of them, the Brunswick bag, Banana Republic free candle to the previous YSL Manifesto last autumn. Damn! Wish I could've known earlier. Btw, the Manifesto tote and 'magazine' bear the picture of Christy Turlington who graces the ad campaign for YSL. But having seen the pix what the tote looks like, well... I am not missing anything anyway. My previous YSL tote is way better (just to make myself feel good, lol!)

What else happening? Oh yes. I was about to take a morning nap when the Royal Mail guy came buzzing the door. What's up dude? Oh, my online purchase from Uniqlo finally arrived. Wow, so quick! It was last Wednesday I bought some items (at 25% off!), they'll delivered in less than a week. Superb. So what's in it? The mustard colored V-neck merino jumper and hoodies for me, and a black hoodie for my nephew (another nephew, in a far, far away land...). Love the hoods, but am not feeling the jumper. The color made the sweater too sheer. And I could see my..ehem.. toot.. when I'm not wearing anything inside. Not good. Gotta exchange it for some other color!

After trying the Uniqlos and aborting my nap... I'm back at the desk to do my work, when I suddenly think. Hey, they can take me out of shopping mall but they can't take shopping outta me! So, what did I do? Checked the online shopping of course coz there're loads of e-shopping websites out there. And boy, am I loving online shopping coz you don't really see the cash flows out. All you do is 'like that, loving it, buying it'. Well, it's good for the British economy but bad for my wallet! Lol.

So what do I get? Hmmm... I can't tell otherwise I get bad jinx. We'll see in a couple of days once they're all arrived safely into my lap. So watch this space. All I can say is that a couple of hundreds quid flew away in less than 20 minutes! Yikes!! (why it suddenly reminds me of 'gone in 60 seconds'..hehe)

So, there my weekend goes. Very skinny weekend. Money flows, paper finished, and the best of all... gotta recoup my energy all weekend. I'm ready for a new week. :)
