Suddenly when I woke up this morning, as gloomy as the weather outside is, I thought - hmm... think I should go all black today. It's been a long time I haven't gone all 'nero' (that's Italian for black, gloomy, dark for you lots). What a good chance to be doing that for a change since I've been wearing colors quite sometime. So there I am - with my new +J black crewneck long sleeved tee, River Island graphite skinny blazer, Uniqlo black Selvedge skinny jeans and black scarves - there's nothing more 'funeral' can it screams! Lol. And to top it up, there goes my accessories - Zara Chelsea boots, Gucci laptop case and Topman croc pleather tote (it's all about croc these days) - just to complete the Dark Knight theme.
Drizzles still pouring when I went out from the house. While making my way down the Tube station, I spotted something on the escalator that someone just left. It's the new 'STYLIST' mag! Oh, man I've forgotten that today they started giving that away. What is 'STYLIST'? It's a free weekly women's mag which is produced by the same team at 'SHORTLIST'. Does it any good? Well, let's put it this way - it's the same concept as SHORTLIST - but targeted for women. So, you can expect everything about those ladies' stuffs - loads of shopping and not to mention some serious articles too. I'm truly drawn to some of the 'serious' articles in there such as Dawn Porter's 'bra fitting for women'. How funny was that -bra-fitting? It's surely fun to read that '80% of women wear the wrong bra size'. And I just wonder what if a women doesn't has any breast? And what would happen if we men has a service called 'underwear fitting'? Surely nobody gonna go 'Err..sir. I think you should wear a D cup coz you balls are low-hanging'. That's gonna be hilarious + humiliating!
And oh, who's on the cover of it's first issue? The hot mama - Angelina Jolie. Great. I've met Angelina before during the premiere of Beowulf at Leicester Sq - with her beloved Brad. And Ms. Jolie is wearing a sexy, tight-fitting black leather pants which eventually got ripped long before she made an entrance to the venue. And I was there to notice that. (Think I should write about my film premiere thingies next time).
So btw, bla bla bla... flipping inside is the Style section. It's all about rouge on rage! And since it's ladies' read - you can see everything complete from top to toe, dress to shoes. Not like SHORTLIST where each issue only focus on certain type of clothing/accessories (issit because we men can only think one thing at a time? What an absurd thought!)
Anyway, I like one item featured in it (it's not wrong for liking good stuff, right? :D). The red coat by Miss Sixty. Guys, if you want your girl looks hot, this coat definitely do the part. It's kinda Little Red Riding Hood going on couture. But the price - £600 - is definitely mega yikes!!
So, yadda yadda yadda... while making my way to the college I stopped by Nero to grab my daily morning dosage of - no, not coffee coz I'm trying to go less of it now - the hot choc instead. Mmmm... what a delish. And nearby, I manage to snap the new Habitat campaign fronted by Helena Christensen with the tagline - My Habitat. Nice collection and great to see Helena face once again.
Walking down the road I can't help but noticed people seems to like what i'm wearing. Chic? I dunno. But one thing for sure, it's all nero'ed out - my black outfit, the gloomy weather and my Nero hot choc!
(Hmm.. what should I wear tomorrow?)
