Fashion Relief: GUCCI for UNICEF

Snowman in Africa. That's the theme for this year's Gucci campaign to benefit UNICEF. If you care to notice, Gucci has supported Unicef quite a while now and this year is their 5th anniversary. Last year they did the 'Tatoo Hearts' collection campaign where Rihanna did their ad photoshoot. For this year, Frida Giannini has commissioned Micheal Roberts - an author and illustrator - to create the children book entitled 'Snowman in Africa'. Kinda great metaphor I think - providing hope for those who's living in the region.

Anyway, apart from the book which is available in 4 languages (English, Italian, German & French), Gucci has also designed exclusive accesories with the theme in place. You get coin purses and bags with elephant prints, and canvas brown Guccissima with snowman and giraffe. Then there's also three different keyrings, or charms of you like to call it, bearing the snowman being coiled by the python (?), the snowman head and also..the gorilla (with banana!). Look kinda fun.

Buy the book, and you'll donating 100% of the retail price to Unicef programs for orphans and children affected by HIV/AIDS. While the accessories, 25% of the retail price will also go to Unicef. So... for a great cause, why not, right?
