What do get when you cross between a scooter and a car? A Peugeot BB1, of course. In my word I'd say. it's a scar!
Last weekend I got a chance to see this concept car at Covent Garden where Peugeot put up a bubble at the Piazza, right in front of London Transport Museum. I dunno why people are keen to get into the tiny transparent hemisphere just to see this which I thought quite hideous. Kinda Toyota iQ on crack, or Smart car during bad day I think. The front part looks like it's being smashed in, as if it suffers a blow during that crash test. And when I think back, hey... it looks like a bug!
Btw, what's cool about this quirky-looking car? It's an electric-powered and measured at only 2.5 m. Though it has a tiny frame, four people can get into it. Remarkable? Yeah, if you don't mind cramping in. And what's up with the 'scar' thing that I mentioned before? Well, it doesn't have a steering wheel - rather a handlebar like a scooter or motorbike. Yikes!! And that's why Peugeot claim 'it's father is a scooter, it's mother is a car'!?
Though this thing gave zero emission, I'd rather drive my gas-guzzling SUV than being spotted in a funny-looking one. :)
