Tim Soar & Corgi for Asos

Part of the collection in the Asos' Best of British are the sweaters by Tim Soar & Corgi. Tim Soar is not a new name in the menswear fashion in London coz he's been a staple for the Men on Wednesday during London Fashion Week for quite some times now. I always love his design that is very simple but edgy - a synthesis of minimalism and the avant guarde made to the highest possible standards. As in his own words, his design is "really well-made menswear that mixes minimalism, sportswear, tailoring and unusual fabrications".

And for the BoB collection, it's in fact quite interesting to collaborate with Corgi, the socks brand. But the jumpers looks nothing like socks, just so to let you know. Very simple, but very SS10 - as now the biggest trend is mesh or see thru tops. Like the one seen on catwalk at Prada, Dior Homme and Louis Vuitton. Mesh is hot.

These jumpers in navy and white though is not just a trend. I can see it as a neo-classics due to its simplicity and wearability. I can see its longevity in one's wardrobe - not just here today, gone tomorrow pieces. With the fabric made of 100% linen, that make 'em even better coz they're not only suitable to be worn during spring/summer (since linen is very sweat absorbing), you can also layer it up when fall/winter comes. Kinda seasonless clothing which is very important nowadays.

Price? Expect to pay £230 for one. Come on, it's from Tim Soar. As the designer mentioned, people who buy his clothing is “anyone who likes my work and is prepared to spend their hard-earned cash on it.”! It's an investment piece that can be worn in years to come... =)

Well, I'm gonna wait till Asos did some sale or that 'discount' days every now and then. Ahaks!
