So what's hot about this notebook? The overall design speak for itself. The seamless pebble design with embossed Samsung logo on the front really caught my eyes without any doubt. Very clean finish, with no protruding I/O here and there, the netbook look more like a oversized pill case (but in a good way of course). The design is a brainchild of none other than the master itself - Naoto Fukasawa - who has more than 50 award-winning innovations bearing his name (his latest includes the Issey Mikaye's Twelve watch - read my prev blog entry)
Talking about N310, besides its remarkable silhouette the netbook offer quite good spec embedded in its frame which include:
- Processor: Intel Pentium Atom N270 1.60 GHz (533 MHz FSB, 512 KB L2 cache)
- Memory: 1 Gb DDR2 RAM (Upgradable up to 2 Gb)
- 160 Gb HDD
- Screen: Frameless 10.1" (1024 x 600, WSVGA SuperBright Gloss, LCD Display )
- 3 USB ports, SD/MMC card slot, Ethernet 10/100 port, 1 VGA out, Headphone/speaker/line-out jack, Microphone-in jack
- Wireless connection: WLAN 802.11 b/g, Bluetooth 2.0
- Webcam: Integrated 1.3 MP camera
- Bettery: 4 Cell - 5 Hours Battery Life
- Weight: 1.25 kg
- Dimension: About 26 x 18 x 3 cm (WxDxH)
- OS: Windows XP Home SP3
And they comes in 4 color options - black, orange, mint blue and navy. And the spec is slightly different as well eventhough the price is almost the same (you get 4-in-1 card reader for the Orange one, but only 3-in-1 for the Black option).
The price? Whoops.. it's £399. But for stylonista, that's nothing!
