Life is really a yin and yang. When something good happen in your life, the next thing you'll never know that something bad could also happen. This morning, while I'm quite happy that I've completed one job that's been bugging me ever since three weeks ago, suddenly bad thing happened. When I try to withdraw money using my ATM card, the machine says it's a faulty card. What? How? Why? I then went to see the bank manager, wondering why is this happenning to me. Coz yesterday my card worked as normal. But why bad thing happen to me today? He then said, apparently my card has been blocked coz someone is trying to forge it. Somebody evil out there try to take my money for their own sake. Someone bad is trying to rob me, literally. Thankfully nothing change to my account balance. Otherwise.... (you can continue with your own sentence...nggg..). But, in every dark cloud there's always a silver lining (in my case there's always a 'golden' box, ahaks!). I have to take this situation as a challenge. Challenge, becoz i have to wait for almost a week to get a new card. Challenge, becoz I'll have to 'confine' my spending, to not flagging around swiping it happily without limit, coz now I have to live with cash in hand. Something that I found very uncomfortable. And unsafe. But, hey... it's a challenge!
Well, it's true. Life's indeed a yin and yang. For those who've been raised with the oriental and eastern influences, the concept is not unusual. What's yin and yang? It's used to describe how seemingly disjunct or opposing forces are interconnected and interdependent in the natural world, giving rise to each other in turn. It's not just the concept that makes sense to me, the symbol itself is what I like. Black and white. Very opposing, but complimentary to each other. In fashion, black and white is a true classic. A stellar combination that create a chic look. Timeless and ageless. Always sophisticated, always elegent.
Now, out from the concept of yin and yang. I'd rather talk about the black and white. Some said black & white is the new black. Well, i say black & white is the new black and white. Lol! When I take a look into my own archive, I can't believe that I have so many black-and-whites around me. Either my home decor thing, to the one that I wear. Either it's my carpet and dinner plates, to my tees and blazers, and my accessories like shoes and bags. I seem to love black and white far too much. Why? Because it's a striking combo. A combo that is so contrast but very appealing and pleasing to the eyes. Chic and classic. That's it.
