Whoa... That's one word I can say about the new collection at River Island. Apart from the two M's - maritime and military - dominating their collection, another section is truly what I like. The rock & roll, distressed, uber body conscious arrays of tees. Very edgy indeed. Last time I've tried their 'burnout' V-neck tee which is truly hot. This time, they have many, many, many t-shirts in different colors and designs, like these lots...
The moss green tee, which I think in organic cotton. I always love something that has some texture to it. Last time I found a lot from Topman, but somehow they've stopped it. Anyway, the other thing which i love about this tee is the raw edges on the sleeve and at the bottom. It's the I-don't-give-a-damn-to-sew-it feel which I think is quite interesting (kinda similar to the +J tee that I got from Uniqlo).
The three-quarter tee. I actually searched for this one for ages after I saw Barnaby Ash - the fashion assistant at Shortlist mag - wore it in their last year's photoshoot. And voila, at last I find the one in River Island itself. (I hope it's the one, nggg...). Love the cuff on the sleeves coz it 'hold' better, rather than making the sleeve flipping in-out like a seal. Lol. And raw edges on the neck and the bottom hem - love it.
Another voila... this deep V neck with stained effect. The stains kinda remind me of the algae build-up on a white tee when I left my laundry soaked in a bucket for ages. Yes, that's the right phrase to put it (minus the smell, of course...lol!). But for this tee, it's all for the right reasons. What I like about it? Body-con! And the V neck which is always super hot.
And one of it's sibling is this one (but without the stain!). Great fit, great color... but a bit sheer, which you can see in the pix below. Yet, still awesome. The fact that the fabric has a texture like the first pix, that's what I like about this tee.
Still, one thing I hate - my biceps are shrinking, my weight is yo-yoing?! I want my body back! I hate this cold weather!!! It made my metabolism shoots up high up to the sky! Arrrggghhh!
Anyway - the tees - love 'em! :)
