One year is a very long period in planet fashion. What you think cool last two season won't be the same this season. Be it clothing or accessories, they are all subjected to changes from season to season, or even among two similar season but at different year (like FW 09 and FW 08).
Mentioning the dissimilarities between the year in fashion, it's interesting on how SHORTLIST has (ehem) shortlisted the multitonal brogues in their Style section. Last December 2008, Gucci multitonal lace-up brogues got into the mag, which I think it's a quite busy design with all sort of colors going on (though it's from a mega brand that I truly love). Come this year, highstreet name got into the style section with the reintroduction of Marks & Spencer two-tonal brogues.
My verdict? The M&S one surely look miles better and can prove its longevity too. The black-brown dual tone look very subtle yet classic. And with the price that's much tamer to the wallet, I think it'll definitely be the one most people gonna go for. ;)
