If you're in the Northern Hemisphere nowadays, you ought to be feeling the chill without any doubt. With temperature plummet to near zero (or even negative Celcius at some regions), to snuggle in the warm blanket is the most luxury feeling one could ever had. That include moi. And if you go out there on the street, you can't help but noticing lots of people are wearing fleece jackets. Hmmm... I might be upsetting a lot of people here, but IMHO I think fleece is a disgrace to fashion community. Eeek! It shouldn't be worn as outerwear at all. Should be banned! But as inner lining it's okay. So far I haven't seen any fleece outerwear that is acceptably cool and fashionable. (Anyone wanna suggest one?)
But as a blanket or throw, fleece is one of the most comfy thing ever. Or for pure luxury go for wool or even cashmere. I can't help but to lust over the Hermes blanket that Carrie Bradshaw snuggle into one in the last year's Sex and the City movie. So pure luxe! And love the color too. Very urban chic.
But today since I can't stand the chill when I go to bed, I went to the highstreet and bought one. Err.. not cashmere blanket, but fleece one. A £2 fleece blanket at Primarni (ehem.. Primark). Lol! Hey, it work equally well. If I don't want it later on, there's always Oxfam to give it away, right? So charity-friendly (but not eco-friendly..errkk).
