Nixon Watches: Back to Square One

Anything square equals symmetry. I really love having square things coz unlike circle (which is also symmetrical, unfortunately) they are not wasting any space. One fine example is the storage jars in my kitchenette. Having to replace all the cylindrical containers to the square ones, wow.. what a lot of space I have saved. And they look even nicer.

And I have been looking for nice square watches out there. Apart from my Bench watch, it's pretty hard to find a nice one. All they got to offer are the horizontals which is not so great if you got smaller wrist like mine. But, aha! Say hallelujah to these lots from Nixon. The gorgeous looking timekeepers in none other than square shapes.

They got different versions with quirky nicknames like the District - the one with separate 'minute' hand; the Quatro - with checks face; and the Zillamatic - which has scratch resistant sapphire crystal and custom enamel-filled sapphire caseback window. And i also like the ladies' one too, codenamed Rocio which apparently very artsy dials that illuminate once the time is on. I just wish the leather strap is a tad thicker - then it'll definitely can be used for men too. :)
