On A Magic Carpet Ride....

Remember that song from Aladdin when he took Princess Jasmine 'soaring, tumbling and freewheeling' on a magic carpet ride? Yes, that one - A Whole New World. But it's not the song nor the movie that I wanna talk about. Rather, the oriental carpet that they were riding. The one that you usually find at Morocco or any Middle Eastern countries.

I actually really adore oriental carpets, especially the authentic look with red base colors and symmetrical artsy design. I once nicked my auntie's oriental rug long time ago from the living room coz I love it so much. Well, not really stealing, I asked her permission first okay. Lol! Love it coz the size is perfect for my then lounge space and the color scheme really jive with the mood. But then, when it gets dirty and I hardly have time to wash it, you know what I did? I gave it away to my newlywed friend as a wedding gift. That's me being naughty. LOL! >:)

Anyway. When I saw these oriental carpets from one of the giftshop I can't help but say holla! But wait a minute; these lots aren't the one that you can step your feet onto. They're actually coasters for your mug! Aren't they just awesome. Love it when someone could come up with something so original. They're called Qashqa'i rug, and perfect for a gift (or you can just buy it for yourself :D)

And there's another one too. The mousemat. Oh man, isn't it something? It'll definitely spice up your office desk from being bland and boring into something voila! I am surely gonna get them.

Now, where's my Princess Jasmine....
